This has been an extremely busy term for us at SCC English (including our 500th post since starting), with posts on lots of subjects (and of course there are many others too):-
- Transition Year Extended Essays (there will be more here in January as we catch up with the excellent work that was done) and lots of book recommendations based on these
- the Poetry Aloud competition
- the production of My Fair Lady
- all the different Poems of the Week
- being nominated for the Golden Spiders, and now the Edublog Awards
- visits to An Ideal Husband, The Cripple of Inishmaan and Happy Days
- RS's I form Touchy Writing and Memory pieces
- KS's Primary night-time pieces
- the TY House Speech Competition
- the Everyday Writes Day, on the subject of Christmas Past
- the Primary, I and II form plays
- a reading and talk by the novelist Belinda Seaward
- the Christmas Pantomime, My Fat Laddy
- III form book reports (again, more next term)
- news of the Mill Theatre production of The Great Hunger.
